Wildlife
Share a component
Grass, a shader, a flock of birds. Give other creators something to build with.
Why build alone?
From shaders and components to entire worlds. Publish your work, build on what others have made, and bring it together in a shared world.
Open-source Three.js projects often end up as separate demos. Connect them and your grass could grow beside someone else’s river, with another creator’s birds overhead.
Bring something you’ve made, get to know other makers and help build a world together.
Want to join in?Build a scene on a hex tile. Shared edges let its paths and rivers continue into the next creator’s tile.
Tiles use shared border pieces for ground height, paths and water. The planned CLI checks that they match; the preview is where you walk across the joins. Threetopia provides the camera, controls and loading.

Yes. Your project can stay in its own repo. A standalone demo may need an adapter: it must use the world’s renderer and controls, expose update and cleanup hooks, and declare the assets it uses.
No. Grass, water, materials, birds or a single building can all be contributions. Other creators can use those parts in their scenes.
The interiors can have their own style. Shared border geometry, material transitions and lighting rules help the joins feel continuous. Exactly how much freedom that leaves is something we want to test with the first creators.
Rotate the tile, choose a compatible neighbour or build a transition tile. All six boundaries need to fit, including their corner heights. Matching declarations still need a preview together; they do not prove that the actual meshes line up.
Not yet. The world and tools are still in development. The hero and tile map show the idea. The world’s coming-soon page is here.
